l dont take Apixaban so don’t know the side effects. You should have a leaflet inside the medication. I would have thought being on them three months it wouldn’t be them, but not a medic. AF itself can cause dizziness. as can low blood pressure. Blood pressure can drop suddenly when you get up. Also, it could be vertigo from ear imbalance, which l have had often. Make sure you are well hydrated and that you eat regularly as blood sugar can drop. I would see your GP if it continues.

May want to google for side effects. I don't recall dizziness being listed but it may be possible.

A more likely cause is your blood pressure and beta blockers or other medications. If it becomes frequent, may want to consult with your doctor.

I had similar side effects including vertigo. I went to GP after about 3-4 weeks. My GP prescribed me 2.5Mg dosage but advised this would be for 1 month only. I am about 2 weeks in and still get the odd bout of "sea legs". Hopefully in time this stops. GP advised to be fully effective I need to be on 5Mg dosage. I am hoping in time my body gets used to the medication and 3 months does seem time enough for this to settle. In saying that everyone is different but all the best for future health. Cheers Cam

I doubt it's the Apixaban. Much more likely, since it's after lying down and getting up quickly, to be blood pressure. Your BP drops when you're resting and it sounds like it's taking a while to come up if you stand or sit up suddenly. Are you on BP meds? Might be worth mentioning to your doctor. Otherwise, get up more slowly - sit up first and gently squeeze with your toes and fingers to get things moving before attempting to walk around.

Never heard of Apixaban causing dizziness in all my years on the forum. Certainly doesn't cause me any.

All the best.
