Does anyone else take Apixaban and 10mg of Bisoporol. I have read it increases the serum of Apixaban.

I don't take bisoprolol, but I do take apixaban with diltiazem. And diltiazem does increase the blood levels of apixaban. It will vary from person to person but doctors still prescribe this combination because it's a "moderate" inhibitor, not a "strong" inhibitor. Only when it's strong will they will not prescribe or use with caution. I haven't heard anything about an interaction with bisoprolol and apixaban but I am not a doctor.

I found my pharmacist to be well versed in drug interactions and a suggestion you may want to contact a pharmacist first and then your doctor, just to be certain about bisoprolol and apixaban.

I take both medications but only 1.25mg Bisoprolol. Last night I had an AF episode while asleep and my HR shot to 139bpm at one point 🤦‍♀️

Can I please ask what dose of Apixaban you're on. I start this drug of 5mg twice a day this week. I am on 7.5 of Bisoprolol just like you. I am very nervous. My doctor has told me to come off asprin therapy and take Apixaban instead as it is far superior for AF. Just got to wait a couple of more days for the asprin to be out if my system before I start it.

I take 5mg Apixaban twice daily. Yes it is superior to aspirin as the way it does its job is to prevent clots forming it is an anti-coagulant. Aspirin is anti-platelet and therefore is not relevant when one has AF. Hate taking anything but needs must unfortunately!

My Electrophysiologist put me on both along with Flecanide, as Flecanide alone can cause AFlutter ( as it did for me! Prescribed by a cardiologist who should have known better)I cant imagine there is significant interactions. I've been on both for years

Please can I ask of you read that on line? If so, there are many sites on there that give out incorrect and conflicting info.
