Side effect of Eliquis

When taking the anticoagulant Eliquis for AFib, how common is abdominal pain as a side effect?

I take eliquis apixaban and been on it since about 2017 and no pains. Perhaps it is something else snd maybe a visit to your doctor for a check up. I hope you feel better soon

Digestive problems with the "ban" anticogulant family are not as bad as with Pradaxa but still happen . Many people have no side effects at all. Others are not so lucky. I get bloating , reflux and worse joint pain with the full dose of Apixaban. Only occasional abdominal pain so that might be caused by something else. I do not regard Apixaban as "my best friend " as many here do but as "the pink poison".

I think all anticoagulants can upset the stomach. Some of us have to take medication to protect the stomach lining, so see your GP.

I am only on 2.5 mg twice a day, and haven’t noticed any side effects.

I have been taking Eliquis for over 8 years & never had that side effect

I have IBS but Eliquis doesn’t bother me one bit.
