Persistent AF diagnosed in June 2021. DC done in Jan 2022 and been sinus since. Last night old palpitations/ powerful heart beats happened. Checked on the FibriCheck app and says ‘possible irregular’. Checked this morning on the app and was normal and myself felt normal. But feel it’s happening the same again now as last night. I’m on beta blockers/ edoxaban. This is the first time since the DC I’ve had any such sensation. When I was prevIously in af back in 2021. The app always hightligjted it as af. I know we are all different but worrying it means any day now I will be back in af. Is this what usually happens before a reoccurrence? Can anyone share from their own experience. I always knew the day would come. But hoping not so soon. Thanks David.

Did you have a Cardioversion or did your body Defribrillator shock you?
I'm persistent so my AF won't get any more episodes than I have. But now controlled on CCB Diltiazem with my rapid heart rate and no symptoms I'll just carry on increasing distant walk etc.
Hi Wordzo, it’s good you’ve stayed in NSR so long and hope this is just a blip. I would be seeking medical attention. By the time you’ve got a GP appointment and referral to cardiology you’ll have a better idea of what’s going on. You can always cancel.
This could be your opportunity to have a full check up and progress report!
