As I said I will update everyone, I just had my ablation this morning. I'm currently resting in my bed and waiting for dinner in hospital.
Overall it was alright. I had cryoablation under sedation but as soon as I was given sedation I went out in a second and open my eyes just as they finished some 2 hours later. My chest is a bit sore and painful and my catether leg entry is a bit painful but all in all I feel ok. Light headache but I think that's also from not having my coffee today. I'm in sinus rhythm but I haven't been in fibrillation since December so basically no change in that regard.
Resting time now. Hopefully they will send me home tomorrow.

Well done! I bet you feel relieved. I hope you have someone to spoil you at home.....make the best of it !
Sounds like you're being spoilt at your hospital.....dinner ? overnight stay ?? 😅 I had my last RF ablation in the morning, close on 5 hours in the lab and sent home early evening after a cheese sandwich and a cup of coffee 🙄🤔 It was nice to get home though !
Yeah, my better half is home ready to cook some goodies but for now I'm here. Hospital dinner was lentils stew and it was more than fine. But home is home. Usually I cook at home but for the next 10 days I'm off the hook.
I wish you well on your journey, your groin will feel sore for a few days, mine felt like a groin strain. My ablation was for Svt in 2019 & after the 3 month blanking (recovery period) it was deemed to be a success. I hope yours is too.
Thanks for posting. I am envious. I finally had my test results and EP consultation on Monday at St George’s in London. 11 months after getting my formal NHS diagnosis (PAF). And likely to be the same again for the actual ablation as waiting list is 1 year. Keep us updated with your progress!
