Hi . Just wondering if anyone has had adrenaline free local anaesthetic for dental work. If so was there any effects from it? Prior dental work left me feeling fluttery and shaking. Quite a number of injections were used.
I asked the dentist if she would use adrenalin free locals in future work on me.
I suffer with afib, tachycardia, have had an ablation about 3yrs ago and have had a Watchman Device inserted. I am no longer on anticoagulants.
Woud be great to hear others experiences.
Thank You

I haven’t had any treatment recently but I my dentist has a big note on my file stating adrenaline free local anaesthetic should be used.
I had an experience many years ago when a dentist injected normal local anaesthetic in the junction of my upper and lower jaw. He must have hit a blood vessel and I instantly had the most awful racing heart feeling throughout my body.
The adrenaline free version takes slightly longer to take effect but otherwise you should not notice any difference.
Yes, mentioned my PAF and anticoagulants to dentist and used adrenaline free ever since with no problems. Just let them know if you feel anything as they may need to give a little extra to top up.
Always have adrenaline free, and have a great experience. Actually going to the dentist (again) today. Having a lot of work done two extractions two implants and bridge work and have had lengthy appointments for this since last September - some appointments 3 hours. No problem with the adrenaline free injections at all.
Yes I always have adrenaline free injections. Apart from the AF issue, I prefer them. You don’t get that horrible tingly feeling when it is wearing off.
