SVT and weight loss

I have had SVT for over 15 years and had an unsuccessful ablation about 3 years ago.Over the past few years I have started putting a lot of weight on which I feel had brought on more SVT episodes, as my triggers are food.

I go to the gym most days and cycle so I'm lucky that exercise has no effect on my SVT.

I decided to follow the 800 Fast died and have been doing it for 2 weeks now.

I have lost 3kg and I can honestly say it's made a huge difference with my SVT plus my general well being.

I still have a long way to go but determined to carry on.

It shows that a simple thing like weight loss can make a big difference.

well done and hope the good work carries on. What is the 800 fast diet please?

Hi it's where you eat only 800 calories a day. You follow a program. It's back by a lot of scientific research.

thank you. Do you look up 800 on Google or something like that?

You must be so pleased to have lost that much weight in 2 weeks. Well done

I am really pleased. It's not just about the weight loss but also I feel so much better in myself.I thought it was going to be so hard to keep to 800 calories a day but the recipes they have fill me up. Believe me I loved my food 😁

Excuse me, but why wasn't the svt ablation been successful ?SVT ablation has a high success rate. Did your doctor said something about a second try ?

chris45558 profile image

I was told around around 98% success rate however mine was so near my AV node that if they carried on they would damage it and I would need a pacemaker. I've never been offered a second one

Hi Chris I'm hoping to start tomorrow. When do you eat?How do you cope with the hunger pangs and how many fasts do you do every week?

HiI fast every day but I'm about to come to an end for the time being as lost weight.

It was hard for the first week but then no real problems.

I drank a lot of water to help.

Good luck with it and I'm sure you will feel better
