PVC Ablation.

Good morning you lovely lot, got a call out of the blue last Monday asking if I could come to the Brompton for an ablation for my pvcs on the 18th. So here I am post pvc ablation, it kicked my af off which took four cardioversions to stop, perhaps another af ablation on the way, who knows , happy Christmas. Hi Jean, just to clear up, I only had a pvc ablation yesterday, feeling a bit tired but all good, perhaps another ablation for af down the line.

I was having frequent pvcs, ectopic beats originating from the right ventricular outflow tract, because I had slight enlargement in my ventricles I was offered an ablation.

I hope it all settles for you now after your ablation. 11 months on since my PVC ablation was unsuccessful, I’ve stopped working again just 2 weeks ago after being back at work for 7 months and health deteriorated again. Stress is a major trigger for my PVCs so focussing on a stress free life as much as I can for now! My AF seems to be calm for now which is good news. Hope you rest up and have a lovely Christmas 😁

What meds do you take for pvc symptoms?

I’m still on 100mg Flecainide twice a day just now. Still get breakthrough symptoms some days on that but noticed less since stopped work.

I took flecainide until I was told to stop because of a slight enlargement of my ventricles. Have you tried a beta blocker at all. I found bisoprolol really helped the symptoms, took a while though, I got my wires crossed, think I might need an afib ablation again as the only ablated for pvcs.

I was taken off bisoprolol after my failed PVC ablation in January to see if a slightly increased heart rate would stop them. I’m no worse or better off so they kept me off it. Hope everything settles for you.

I had my bloodwork done and discovered my levels of vitd3 and magnesium were low since supplementing I now have less ectopics. I take Mag Bisglycinate at night and Taurate mid morning. I take1 capsule of 1000 Vitd3 daily and in last 11 months my levels of both D and magnesium are about middle of normal range. I’ve since also checked my CoQ10 levels which were very low and now taking 200mg a day. At around 50 years of age our levels decline. The highest percentage of CoQ10 in our bodies is in the heart. Maybe add the 3 to your next blood test.
