Just to say I had my 2nd ablation wed gone and all went well and was treated very well and my consultant was very pleased with the outcome ( if you have read my post on my 1st ablation it was a nightmare) so onwards and upwards as they say.
Happy Christmas and a bright New Year to you all xx

Always best to have a positive outlook and you seem to have that in bucket loads. Not easy being Christmas, but please take things easy over the holidays, if you are feeling well, the temptation to do more than you should is even greater!
Very tired and sore and a very few palpitations but nothing like before, a little apprehensive that they will flip into AF but I try and not dwell on it too much.
Luckily I have a very strict home nurse (he is bril lol)
Delighted for you Lesley! I’m having pacemaker fitted on Tuesday. My neighbour had his fitted 20 years ago for same problem of P A F and has never had even a tiny flutter since. Here’s hoping for me as
Very pleased all went well for you.. I've just looked at your post detailing your first ablation. I don't know how I missed it, must have had alot going on at my end. My goodness you certainly went through it , sounds horrendous! Most unusual to hear this.
Take care now and allow yourself to be spoilt in the coming weeks .
It did take me a long time to convince myself with having a GA that it will be nothing like before and it was perfect, hubby will ensure I don’t over tax myself and I have lovely neighbours who will step in.
Good news Lesleyray. Just caught up on your back story and you have certainly been through it. Had my 1st ablation 1st December and trying to rest as much as possible which doesn't come naturally to me, but I know it's important. All good wishes for a positive recovery. Now, feet up!
Have to say I’m glad I hadn’t read your 1st post - had mine Friday (first one) - way better than expected and doing well - great to hear your 2nd has been better and huge streams of positivity winging its way to you - Have a great relaxed Christmas and here’s to living da life again 👍👍👍☘️☘️☘️🙏🙏🙏
Hey well done! My first was also an abject failure - they told me right away. Apparently I wiggled even when no longer conscious 🙃. 2nd time around I had a GA and things have gone well since May 2022. I hope yours will 'stick' also.
Thank you, was very scared but now I’m on the other side it’s brilliant knowing that it all went well, I lasted 3 months last time before the AF restarted but I’m much more positive now
Being positive helps and at my final cardiology appt last Friday they told me it often needs two goes. I've actually been signed off - feels weird but also good. I don't know if your health trust is the same but ours has a system where for 2 years after discharge you can self refer without needing to go through your GP. Waiting to see what the letter says about this.
That's not what the cardiologist told me. Perhaps he meant the GP uses a different channel. The arrhythmia nurse also told me I could let her know directly. If the letter doesn't come I'll chase it. My GP has it and it's supposedly copied in to me. I presume our surgery received the notification digitally, whereas mine will be by mail.
Hi, my letter has come digitally to my doctor, it say ablation with RSVP ( not sure what the RSVP means) and follow up in 3 months, if all is ok then I’m officially discharged
