Thank you everyone for the other day

I wrote about it’s been a year since my 3rd ablation - well, not only do I want to say thank you to you all (some people I was in touch with throughout the year & also new people helped with advice)

As always I seriously take on board all comments, following a very relaxed weekend, only one AF episode & yesterday just the feelings of “don’t you dare” when I felt a possible one which then prompted the slow deep breathes of relaxation which did calm it down - someone said last week “you’ve got this” - right now I think I have -thank you everyone xx

That’s good to hear Flipper. I hope you continue to listen closely to what you need - I know that’s easier said than done when you’re working.

You gave me so much support when I first joined the forum and made me feel I could find a way to live with Afib and all the uncertainty it brings. It seems a while ago I was that newbie but I haven’t forgotten!

I hope you stay strong and and the heart keeps in line xx

That’s so nice of you to say and I’m so glad it helped you. I remembered you as a newbie - I love the fern plants in the rain with droplets on the edges of their leaves. I think the set a picture in my mind of you 😂 - you’ll no doubt be advising others now from experience-it just shows though how fragile we can be when we have AF then the disbelief when it’s “fixed” and how quickly we can tumble still needing our forum friends to pick us up again - successfully 💕

In the early days of home computers I was exploring notice boards and chat rooms and joined a group called Spiritual Pool - all American as far as I can remember, mixed religion and none. The idea of giving myself a name seemed quite novel - it actually came to me seeing a fern just as you describe it! That was about 30 years ago and it kind of stuck.

hi

Great Flipper.

And I'm excellent after my Right Shoulder repair.

At 15 days post surgeon said that I didn't need to the sling all the time. So I ditched it and only have it on whilst out. My arm is very flexible.

I see the surgeon next Thursday and I'm hoping discharged, on to physiotherapist and get on carefully with life.

Here comes Joy next year swimming, bowling, fishing overarm, gardening, housework and fixit Joy.

Cheri JOY. 74. (NZ)

Maybe go and ply cricket - plenty of overarm bowling exercise there - sounds like you’re all guns blazing so hope the discharge happens next Thursday - 😂 fixit Joy, good name for a business - keep going x

That's great to hear...well done!I am a year post 3rd ablation (3 in one year).... it took a while but now 6 months without AF.

Well worth the wait, and the persistence!

That’s great & long May it last! I wouldn’t fancy 3 in on year but the freedom and feeling extatic in NSR I’d do it all again (hope I don’t have to) x

So pleased to hear this. It's horrible when we feel out of control and thank goodness for the kindness, wisdom and humour one receives on this forum.

I agree 100% Singwell - it’s really picked me up and I’m focusing better too so I can notice where & when I’m going wrong and breathe it away. You often know the answers but get in a state and need a nudge reminder - great forum x

Thanks. Took 4months to blank then perfect till recently so fingers crossed with a little more self TLC I hope it stays pretty normal. Hope you’re doing ok x

That's great news that all is well after your 3rd ablation, I also get the odd flutter from time to time, but the breathing helps tremendously

Thanks, I’ve been completely not a flicker to all of a sudden full blown runs of AF but hopefully I’ll get it back in check. All the help on here did help too. Stay well x

Enjoy NSR while it lasts but realize there’s options to pursue when the beast returns. Keep breathing.

I will do DKBXMy next option had been for P&A but neither I nor the EP were keen - as it stands I know I’m not in PAF enough for them to CV & prob not enough to ablate again yet! I just went into a nose dive that after a really awful bad 18months I was just going backwards again - I’m trying to be positive (no, not trying I am positive) x
