Suffered with opthalmic migraines for 30 years. I have had one bout of AF for 12 days then nothing since in 2021. At same sort of time diagnosed with thoracic aneurysm which was fixed April this year. On low dose ramipril and apixiban . Full syncope last year and and e diagnosed low blood pressure. In last 2 months have had two episodes of about 5-10 secs of funny eyes ( not losing vision but strange sensation ) with no other symptoms. Low BP, de hydration - anyone get this or any thoughts.

eyes and low bp?
Yes, apixaban has stopped me having actual migraine attacks.
However, I frequently have small glittering circles in the corner of my vision now. This is not a problem and hardly noticeable. It happens mainly when I go into a bright room.
My theory is that the apixaban makes the flap over the hole in my heart close more tightly.
Before I started taking apixaban in 2018 I used to have attacks which started in the centre of my eyes, gradually expanded and then disappeared. They lasted for about 45 minutes and happened perhaps once or twice a year and had done for seventy years or so.
I had low bp recently and it caused blurred vision among other things …..
I used to get ocular migraines; touch wood none in the past 2 years. They start with a silver circle which increases t o cover my whole vision; lasts about 20 minutes then fades. Luckily the develop slowly so if driving, I have time to stop safely although I can see through them. My optician and the eye consultant at the hospital insist they are nothing to worry about so I do just that. I don't worry. I just wait for them to wear off. I have no ill effects just a very mild dull headache afterwards for half an hour.
Thanks. I have ophthalmic migraines with wavy lines like looking through the top of a fire but these feel different. Much shorter in duration like 10 -30 seconds and a bit more of a lightheaded feeling. As I say no other symptoms and Dr when I mentioned it in connection with something else.
also it’s not due to going into AF . If anything feels a little bit like it felt when I had a prodrome ( I think that’s right word) pre my syncope but much shorter and sharper.
