About 6 months ago, I had gum surgery to remove some bacteries. The dentist told me I could not chew nuts for some time. Nuts being so important in my anti afib diet, I mixed them with olive oil to make them softer, I found it delicious. I not only kept mixing the nuts with olive oil, I also mixed some other food with olive oil like sweat potatoes. At times my heart rate would climb to 120's but the mornings were the worst after taking my beta blockers sotalol, I felt tired and dizzy at times... Extravirgin olive oil consumption reduces risk of atrial fibrillation: the PREDIMED (Prevención con Dieta Mediterránea) trial

Hello Mike, thank you for responding. I thought I was somewhat smart until I started looking into nutrition! We as afibbers or potential afibbers have a lot in common but we are also very different. For those with low blood pressure like myself we can do more harm than good when adding food that lowers our blood pressure. Thierry
Same for me. I used to take a tablespoon every morning but I've come to the conclusion that I'm intolerant to olive oil. I'm OK with garlic though.
All the best.
