AF and Kegel8?

Hi , all you lovely ladies here. I've recently been diagnosed with a prolapse and wondered if anyone uses a Kegel8 for this, or is this something that would exacerbate AF? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

As a retired Women’s Health Physio, I am assuming a Kegel8 is an electrical stimulation device used to promote strengthening of the pelvic floor?

Unfortunately a prolapse usually results not just from muscle weakness but ligament damage too. You can improve pelvic floor strength but little can be done to restore ligaments.

Although pelvic floor exercises may not correct the prolapse, they may help control symptoms and limit the worsening of prolapse.

Thanks for your reply. Would an electrical stimulation device of this kind affect the rest of the electrical impulses in the body? This type of device seemed a good idea to help the muscles but I would hate it to start an attack of AF.

I think you would need to ask the suppliers that question. I know that certain electrical devices are contra-indicated for people with pacemakers.

Sorry I can’t answer your question

Thanks. I rang the suppliers today and got nothing I'm afraid. I'll keep on digging...
