Five years out from a successful ablation I've been having days of high heart rate - over 100 and as high as 124 while sitting or simply moving around my home. Did a Holter monitor last week but had been in my normal 80;s and 90's for two weeks by then . But the high rate returned two days after I turned in the monitor! Sometimes it does alarm me and other times I don't notice until I read my FitBit (which usually matches BP monitor and DR. visit checks). ANyone else have this or know what's going on? Taking Metopro, Valsartin and Elliqus. No changes in meds or lifestyle.

Tachycardia
I had an ablation for atrial flutter in 2019 and more recently get periods of mild tachycardia of up to 130 bpm. These often begin over breakfast and have lots of ectopic beats with it. I wasn't taking any tablets for this but was told to take a small dose of bisoprolol to calm things down, which it seemed to do. I would ask your GP if you might take an extra dose of your beta blocker when it occurs. These take a while to start working, about an hour or more, though, and have the disadvantage of causing bradycardia the next day, in my case, so I am limited to a low dose.
Of late, I have been having more frequent fast AF, so I am starting to take 1.25mg bisoprolol daily.

I had bursts of tachy ( up to 120 a minute) a couple of years after an ablation for AF. Went to A&E (that was in the days when that was sensible) and was given metoprolol which slowed me down in about 20 minutes. I was given metoprolol as a. PIP which usually worked until I had a second ablation in July 2020. Touch wood been OK since.
I had an ablation in 2016 for Tachy and notice now on my garmin watch with heart monitor that I get high heart rate alerts when eating mostly or when working outside and possibly being dehydrated. The thing is, I no longer feel these episodes and only know they are happening because my watch shows it. I have gotten beats up to 147 but only for a brief moment then gone. Before ablation they could last for hours and I felt every beat. I guess these are just ectopics. I assume you are feeling these episodes. I don’t take any meds and don’t let them worry me, as worry only makes them worse.
Not sure if this gizmo would be if interest to you, but I recently purchased a Wellue ECG monitor with AI software analysis that you can wear on a chest strap (or sticky pads) for up to 24 hrs .. easy to put on and take off and gives you a single lead EKG result of a longer span of time..it gives hourly breakdowns of HR and any PVCs and PACs and other things..so sort of an affordable Holter Monitor of sorts. I have used it several times and am glad to have it. I also have a Kardia 6L which of course gives a 30 second snapshot .. much like you get at the Dr office but you can do it whenever you want.
