Covid moderna vaccine

Found abstract vaccine can cause slow heartbeat but so far no information on pauses I had;;6 seconds..Atenelol could be causing slow heartbeat also. Dr. says vaccine cannot cause a pause. Maybe vaccine could stress the heart. Never near fainted before so wondering if I need a pacemaker . I do have the slow ..fast syndrome and sick sinus node. Want to be smart as to what to do but don't want to do something I don't have to. Maybe should be smart as "preventive".

Bothers me more is not known.

Moderna Covid-19 vaccine is associated with a higher risk of heart inflammation than Pfizer's so go for the latest one if you suffer from afib or other heart issues.

Or don't go for any! Are people not listening or reading?

Yes I am reading and listening to experts not quacks.

So a top cardiologist who actually had the vaccine is now a quack? Mmmmmm. Who's not a quack? Please enlighten us. BBC? Or maybe Sky news?

Both my wife and I had the moderna vaccine for one of our 5 vaccinations/boosters and had no problems with it, I had no problems whatever with any of them but my wife did have a 24 hours of fatigue after the first and last one. The first one was Astra Zeneca and the nurse giving her one of the following vaccinations said that it was usually your first vaccination that would cause the most side effects and Astra Zeneca was one they had found that most often caused them. We had a completely different one for the last one and they didn't give us a card with the name of it on didn't cause me any problems at all with Af or with fatigue but my wife again had the fatigue for about 24 hours. When talking to staff at the surgery about it some time afterwards they said they had found this to be the case with this last vaccine. No lasting damage to either of us and glad not to have got Covid as even with the vaccinations with my wife's chronic/life long respiratory problems I don't think even the vaccinations would have made much difference to the severity of the disease if she were to catch it. My sister and a friend of ours are still battling with Long Covid 3 years after having it. Neither have gone back to work and are finding life difficult. A neighbour's 50 year old daughter is waiting for a double lung transplant after the effects of Covid and after a brilliant nursing career can now not even walk to her downstairs bedroom without aid.

yeah, there was not vaccine available whe covid caused me the onset of afib and i'm still battling long covid but feeling now much better. Covid is really not a joke. Vaccines have some moderate risks... but nothing compared to the virus itself.

i'd advise them to check for low dose naltrexone (LDN) as a neuromodulator which can operate as anti-inflammatory agent in the central nervous system,. Also the website of JJ Schoch, heallongcovid.com can be quite useful. I have improved a lot... tell them it is possible, they shouldnt give up

It’s never easy to feel unsure what is causing what. In the case of mRNA vaccines, though, an awful lot is known, and positive evidence for their safety is building all the time. Research in the UK has just shown that the they are not associated with excess deaths, for example, which, if they affected the heart, had been proposed by those who dislike them. It’s genuinely looking as if they are not only safe but extremely useful at preventing hospitalisation and death. New evidence for Omicron shows it to be as potential serious in people without antibodies as the original strain for example.

If you’ve had covid, then that clearly carries the possibility of affecting the heart, even in mild cases.

Out friend’s daughter had “long covid” since catching the disease last March but had her booster in November. Within a week, her symptoms worsened and she’s since needed some serious treatment for kidney and blood problems. Whether the vaccine sent her already messed up immune system into overdrive is said to be unlikely but it’s made the family and me stop and think. Both she and her husband (also still coughing from last March and only now having tests) are very overweight, though, which is a known risk factor for covid.

Pauses of the heart are from heart block, and a pacemaker should (I read) sort that out.

It’s unpleasant for you though. Goodness - poor you.

I was in AF until my covid jab and in 24 hrs it stopped. That was in Nov, not been in AF since., fingers crossed always.

2learn seemed to just (yesterday) join this group to tell us this interesting fact that I am very suspicious of? Potentially harmful false information. Admin?

True, your problem if you think I'm lying. I'd let you ask my GP. Been on this site for over a year so stop being a conspiracy seeker.

Well we know the covid vaccine is pretty useless against covid so who knows? But I very much doubt it was the reason your Afib stopped.

Conspiracy seeker or truth seeker?

The vaccine can definitely be the culprit, doctors don't like talking bad about medication. They get subsidies from it so .....Take care and all the best to you...

Unethical if so...dr. did say maybe heart was stressed ..far as he went

I think ethics went out of the window a long time ago. Doctors surgeries get paid for every influenza vax and similar but even more for Covid vaxes.
