Hi, Sounds like it has lowered your blood pressure, what dose are you on? Perhaps have a chat with your GP or cardio nurse to lower the dose.

Could be your just not tolerating bisoprolol if it is making you dizzy. Contact GP who will chat with your Cardio nurse if you have one.

Do you have a blood pressure meter? This sounds as if the bisoprolol is lowering it a bit too far. Unfortunately, it's not easy to check BP at all accurately while the heart has AF happening, only when it is stable and in NSR.

Other than that, what's happening could be something called postural hypotension. There's good information about this on the NHS website. An elderly friend has it and has fallen three times with it, but, if he takes care when standing, he's fine.

I had to transfer to Atenolol for the same reason. Made me feel so ill = no problem with Atenolol.

Yes it can lower your blood pressure a little too much. I just couldn't get on with bisoprolol or any beta blockers, calcium channel blockers or any rate control medication as it made me very tiredand fatigued, dizzy and I often felt faint - even when doing nothing. I would ask about a change of dose - some people find that taking their bisoprolol at night works better for them. Worth a try.

my trouble is when I cut the mg the severe breathless problems return so much do just walking upstairs knocks me out I’m like a fish trying to pull oxygen in

Have you tried taking your bisop at night - if this doesn't help then maybe you would be better changing to a different medication. You need to contact your Cardio or EP.

yes been chasing for a appointment since September in the end after complaining to PALS I finally got this appointment

I even had the cardio secretary call me and leave a voicemail for me to call her back ,when you do a recording from the NHS and it tells you it’s impossible to leave a message as the number is no longer in use .

Another time I was told by 230 that day I would get a doctors response to my issue of course that call never came

The list is endless

I kept getting dizzy due to meds lowering my blood pressure. Was advised to drop from 5mg to 2.5 but started getting fluttery so just reduced to 3.75 and that resolved my issue. Speak to your doctor

My cardiologist, and actually my oncologist too, have both advised that I take my BP lying down, then stand up and immediately take it again. If the difference is greater than 20 systolic "points", it is too much. Maybe get back to your doctors with some numbers in hand.
