Hi Iris.
The Milner Acetylcholine Protocol is primarily a research tool and is not typically used as a treatment for atrial fibrillation (afib). Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in the regulation of heart rate and contractility, and some medications that affect acetylcholine levels in the body have been used as a treatment for afib, such as cholinergic drugs, but they are not used to treat afib specifically.
However, this article suggests that a larger role might on the cards with MAP and afib treatment. An interesting development.

Thank you Paul. Yes, I am aware of it's role, and the fact that this Protocol dates back to 2013 as well. I would have thought that if it was a formidable treatment we would know by now...but hope springs eternal. Was nonetheless wondering if anyone has had any success with this option.
I am heading into ablation N° 6, so clearly seeking ways to make this one last!!!!
Hi Iris.
Good luck with your ablation - I hope this one is succesful for you.
I will try to research a little further into MAP and follow this post. If I come with anything I'll return to the thread.
Enjoy your day.
Paul
Thank you Paul, The 4th one worked until I had to take COX2s post spine surgery... with the 5th they saw things no one in the cardiology dept had seen before - he called everyone in! He should have at least sold tickets! They stopped after having done the major work but felt it necessary to end the procedure. Hence I am being sent to someone else in case their methods would create a different outcome! Avoiding the Einstein adage, "repeating the same thing and expecting a different outcome....."
I hear, "6th time's the charm".... isn't that how the saying goes?
Thank you for your always interesting input!
Hi Iris.
I've had another read and there could be some mileage in this one. I hope others comment.
Paul
Had my first Afib episode in March last year, and so far its been my only episode (touch wood). In April of last year I started a program of free weight resistance training with a couple of cardio sessions on the non weight days. As part of the related training diet I have 4 large eggs per day, so good intake of choline.
Is the choline intake in any way related to why i have had only one episode so far or have I just been lucky? Who knows but having read that paper I'm definitely going to try adding a Pantethine supplement.
Hi Duke.

Sorry but you may need to toss a coin to answer that one. However (I'm not a doctor) a mix of Choline and Pantethine seems a good mix to me (personal view). This is a very interesting thread.

Thank you both Paul and Duke! I will look into this and if I hear more I will let you know. I was referred to this protocol from a teacher of mine and she is usually well informed and well surrounded by professionals. I have the PDF with diagrams but not sure if I can add that here... the other was a simple text print I found which I could link to, anyone wishing the PDF can direct message me and I would be glad to send it to you!
