I had a pace and ablate July 2021 which has gone well as back to my normal activity prior to being diagnosed with AF.

However, the last six weeks has seen my arm and left hand swell with veins becoming pronounced by the pacemaker. Following tests, CT scan and Ultra scan, the first view was an

' apparent stricture left subclavian vein close to insertion into brachiocephalic vein-previous thrombosis around pacemaker wire'

Yesterday saw a vascular surgical consultant at local NHS who said he believed the pacemaker wire was the cause of the symptoms i,e swelling and vein distended. Also said other than taking an anticoagulant nothing else could be done. I do take Apixaban. Also suggested I should see my Cardiologist for her interpretation.

Wondered if anyone else has had similar issues, with conclusion and advice given
