A big thank you to all who wished me good look for my 2nd ablation on thurs. It was different to the 1st in that I had camera down throat, got a split lip( must have been fighting), ended up with sore throat, headache & cough. Also op took 6 hrs. š³Seems all went ok š¤š»Groin is fine & wasnāt sick with the general, which is a bonus. Worst for me at mo is the headache & throat. The staff at Lancashire cardiac centre were wonderful & canāt praise them enough. Well back to resting & reading & looking at Bobs sign saying ā no heavier than remote controlā thatās propped up. Good luck to enyone else having ablations this wk & hope everyone has a lovely Christmas. X

Great news Van! Rest up in the perfect season to do so.Have a lovely Christmas and best wishes for 2023
Glad it went well. Just recovering from my first ablation, same day! Having a very lazy Christmas this year.
your second sounds like my first with the sore throat I looked like a bullfrog from ear to ear I didnāt have a double chin I think I had a quadruple. I woke up in recovery with a horrible hacking cough to the point that people were complaining about me in recovery and they moved me and gave me breathing treatments. Going forward they now put medication into the anesthesia IV. I no longer have nausea or coughing. Next time ask about it when the anesthesiologist comes to see you. I donāt know why they donāt just do it it canāt be that expensive. I no longer wake up sick I wake up hungry lol.
