Happy Christmas EB.

I spoke to Father Christmas and he said you aren't on the naughty list and he will see you on Christmas eve. He expects a glass of sherry and a mince pie otherwise he won't come.

Have a Kool Yule.

And best wishes to you - but it isn’t even December yet……though I am thinking of getting my cards written tomorrow which usually don’t get a look in until 20th Dec but in view f Postal Strikes and moving house thought I’d astonish friends and family by 1. Sending a card at all & 2. Getting in early!

The days are getting longer, the temperature is rising, starting to have a few BBQ's, trips to the beach, the Pahoutakawa tress are in full bright red bloom. Yes its got that Christmas feeling in the air. Despite a wet November, long term forecasts are for a dry hot December. Merry Christmas from the southern hemisphere

How I miss those trees, over here we call them "bottle brush" I know you're using the Maori name for them, cant remember, if you used that as well? . We had 3 in our garden, along with 2 beautiful lemon trees .

Hi

I'm in NZ born here.

Bottle trees are so different to our Pohutukawa Native tree.

That is their true name.

I live above the Coopers Beach which Pohutukawa trees line it.

It's interesting to see where the first tree perhaps more sheltered appears. I glimpsed the first red bloom last week.

Look it up on google the difference between a bottle bush which looks like a bottle brush and our NATIVE. So difference.

Yes I see what you mean. Strange, I always used to have the perception that they were like our bottle brush but they are different arent they!. We lived just outside of Wellington in Ngaio . I miss NZ and the lifestyle.

Season’s Greetings, if not quite Christmas yet. It does feel like it with the shops and the adverts! I have an ablation first though…

Advantage is that I’m delegating tasks even more than usual 😂

Thank you! Just got the official letter yesterday and it seems closer. Now I’m just hoping that if the nurses still strike in Scotland, it will be on a different day from those announced in England and Wales. (Feel very selfish saying that, as I know it will affect others still.)

Is it Christmas already? Gosh, it gets earlier each year.

Hi there

Great expectations.

A summer Christmas but my mind goes back to the White Christmases in 90s in UK!

So from New Zealand to others around the world "have a good one" and dont overdo anything if you can - over exercise, alcohol, food etc.

I will disappear in my camper early December as my van needs attention from Madza. I will try an d kids big, grandchildren and great grand children. But I need to be back for 'singing Carols/songs for Christmas on 11/12. Another year.

I stay in Christmas and watch the tourists here at the beach.

Then birthday in January I take off again which include a dear friend with now Parkinsons in his 80s in Taupo.

Regardless of what the government says to ease the "had enough of restrictions or wearing a mask (I use 2) I will continue to wear a mask responsibly.

Because of this I got through this year in fact the last 2 years of flu and all 4 jabs so no covid.

Ho Ho hope you get your dream present or two!
