You mentioned in a previous post that your doctor gave you instructions what to do. I would follow those instructions, but in addition, email their office the Kardia ekg so the episode is both confirmed and documented.

Thankyou , I’m just so worried, as never had this for yrs

Perhaps discuss with your GP stopping your thyroxine for a while, before possibly restarting at a lower dose.

As you know, anxiety and tachycardia are prominent features of too high a dose of Thyroxine replacement therapy.

Thyroid function tests are a minefield. The results of the tests are less important than how you feel apparently. That was certainly my wife’s experience.

I am not a health professional.

Please try to relax . A rate of 82 is well within normal .

RELAX. Many people are in permanent AF and live quite normal lives so long as rate is kept below 100 and they are anticoagulated. See Thomas's advice below. Very wise!

I've been in constant AF for about 4 years at a rate that fluctuates between 60-90bpm. I feel fine and can still do everything I want. Please stop panicking and yes put your Kardia away. Checking what our heart rate is only raises anxiety which promotes AF.

The best thing you could do is to put the Kardia in a drawer and stop worrying. I have permanent, though asymptomatic, AF. My heart rate was checked last week when I had annual blood tests, and it was 85, that's within normal range.I just get on with life, while respecting that I have permanent AF.

try not to over worry.!! My HR gets into the the 160s when I’m in afib. it’s a viscous circle is worry/fear and AFIB.? deep breathing and relaxation may help.👍
