10 days post RF follow up ablation

Well all good so far, still in NSR with the odd ectopic and a feeling of going into AF but don't , which I was told to expect .

Very tired first few days and a spectacular bruise in my groin that was still spreading up till yesterday 😯 Wound site healing nicely so all in all I'm very happy with the outcome and looking forward to gaining some fitness.

After 10 days doing next to nothing apart from walking around the garden, watering the flowers and going back and forward to the loo it was great to get out for a little trip yesterday to a zoo with my wife and daughter. Felt fine walking around , climbing steps and driving the hour each way there and back so will start walking my large dog again tomorrow, still listening to my body and not overdoing it .

Hopefully this one has been successful and I can look forward to a better QOL for the forseeable future

Many thanks for all your kind wishes and good luck to anyone taking the same journey .

This all sounds very positive. And as you are aware, some ectopics and a feeling of going into AF so soon after the ablation are not unusual.

Yes I was warned , none for 3 days now though and not feeling too tired after a nice walk this morning . Happy days 🙂

Glad to hear it went well, sounds like you’re being very sensible. So tempting to do too much too soon. Luckily my wife reminds me from time to time.

7 weeks on from my ablation the Ahrrythmia nurses have said I can now do brisk walks on the treadmill so have been walking at 3.2mph for about 40 minutes now, continually checking my hr on the Apple Watch. I have my 3 month post procedure appointment on 5th October with my EP and my understanding is weight management is crucial so very focused on getting lean. I have about 1 stone to go.

So far so good, fingers crossed for you 🙂

All sounding positive for you , well done . I still find some meals cause me mild stomach issues and that always tended to encourage a possible AF episode. My wife did a mild curry last night and I felt an ectopic about half an hour after and a fluttering sensation for a few minutes

My HR stayed in rhythm and the feeling passed but I still believe my Vagus nerve has had a bearing on my AF and my EP thinks it's entirely possible. Food for thought , excuse the pun 🙂
