Ectopic or missed beats

missed beats and Ectopic beats are they the same, and is it when your heart pumps before its full of blood, thank you

Yes it is the same thing. An ectopic beat is either a missed beat or an added beat.

Yes, horrible things that cause an early pump on ‘half empty’ followed by a pause and a great wallop on ‘very full’. This uneven pumping causes a feeling of breathlessness.

Ectopic in medical terms means out of place. What happens is that the ventricle contracts before the atrium has passed it any blood so it "pumps" empty and then the next proper one is the thump you feel.
