After effects of 4th Jab

Anyone else have side effects post their 4th jab? I had mine end of March and my bp is still up on what it was prior to jab and my A/Fib still worse than it was. Also arm still aches when tired and the lymph gland in my neck swollen. It has always become swollen when I am under strain. I can do less than I could prior to the jab. There is no way I want to put anyone off having the jab cos I believe that having the virus must be worse. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?

Needless to say my husband had his at the same time with no effects whatsoever.

Weird isn't it. I have had no side effects whatsoever from any of my four apart from slightly sore arm for a couple of days. What I do know from my son's O/H (a nurse) is that if the injection is placed too high it can impact on the rotator cuff muscle with lingering results.

That might explain the arm ache. Just hope we don’t have to have more jabs after the 4th cos if we do not sure whether I will have them or not.

Confusing as instruction for vaccs is give into upper deltoid (obviously not too upper then). Like you have had 4 ( 3 varieties with no ill effects. Read there is to be an autumn booster for over 65s, vulnerable children etc

I haven’t had my second booster but a friend told me the gland in her neck was swollen for a few days.

I had read about similar reactions to yours which is why I delayed my 4th jab until after my weeks holiday . Guess what happened......I felt ill on my return and tested positive the next morning. I've been really ill, most certainly not 'just a bad cold'! Husband unaffected. Now have to wait 4 weeks after infection for the jab.

Hope you are better soon. Sadly, the evidence is that we're not protected for life and lots of people are being reinfected with different variants, though the risk of severe CO-19 remains low. nature.com/articles/d41586-...

I posted those links for Rhea11 who had replied to you that you couldn't get CO-19 a second time, but her comment seems to have disappeared.

Thanks Belle11 . I had realised that the response was incorrect but hadn't got around to compose a reply !

That is bad luck Covid itself seems to be able to manifest itself either so mildly you don’t know you have it all the way to the other extreme. Weird illness which appears to be mutating all the time. I believe that it is the case that the usual thing for a virus to do when it mutates is that it eventually becomes infectious but less severe. Viz scarlet fever. Let’s hope this one follows the same pattern.

Don't know about the neck, but swollen lymph nodes in the armpit are pretty common especially with the booster and suggest your body is waging an immune response, so that's a good thing. A friend had symptoms other than a sore arm for several days after the second booster but only a sore arm for the first three jabs. All four were Pfsizer. Not surprising anything that affects the system can also affect afib.

No nothing from any of my four either first two Pfizer 3rd Moderna 4th Pfizer.

Hiya Granny,

1st = 29/1/21 Astra Zeneca = no

2nd = 23/4/21 = Astra Zeneca = no

3rd = 23/10/21= Pfizer = yes ...... batch no. FG 6431 ..... serious upper arm ache, coupled with flu like symptoms, generally feeling well below par.

4th = 30/4/22 = Pfizer = no

Hello GrannyE, I had my Moderna 4th vax and it was put up right at the top of my arm ( hurt like hell) since then having rotator cuff muscle pain and shoulder pain. Physio says it could take many weeks to sort. Happy days, it has also sparked my PAF into more episodes probably because of the stress.

Goodness. That is bad luck. I don’t think that my arm ache is due to rotator cuff problems but if/when I have another jab for anything I will make sure it is not too high. It is a warning to us all. Thx

I’ve had no adverse reactions due to not taking any vaccines

That’s one way of not getting reactions but don’t you feel rather exposed to Covid?

The only one I reacted to was the fourth. I got Pfizer vaccine. Was under weather for 2 days. I had headache, chills, very sore arm, neck pain. My doctor said that I had a reaction because I was making antibodies or something. We are currently having a surge here in Michigan. Hoping it works.
