Just wondering if anyone else who has AF is being contacted about having a Spring (i.e second) Covid booster? I have received several messages/e-mails saying records indicate I need one but the only health condition I have is AF. I contacted my GP who has said they can’t see why I am being invited and the only reason I can think of is that I am on the National AF register.
Many thanks.
Dawn.

I have been called by my doctor and I have AF and an under active thyroid. I’m 78 but a friend who is 83 hasn’t been called, same doctor. We had to wheedle one for my husband
Both my husband and I are in the over 75 age group and have been called for booster jabs and are going next week. Perhaps it is due to your AF that you have been called but you could check with your GP.
Thanks reinaway. I have checked with my GP but they said they did not know why I have been contacted. Obviously AF on its isn’t considered a risk factor.
Yep, I've already had notification of my entitlement and have a booking with my local GP surgery for 30 April at 08.50 !
Though it may be a complete coincidence I had a massive stroke 2 days after my last booster. I’m done with boosters for now. I’ll gladly wear a mask during the next Covid surge. In all fairness I was also not on a blood thinner at the time.
