Hi looking for advice. I’ve seen a few posts about who to use for insurance from a cost point of view and I’ve got quite a few quotes. Thing is, has anyone got advice on which insurers are good to deal with in the event of actually having to claim. Reviews tend to talk about ease of setting up etc but not much about claiming.
Hope I don’t have to but you never know!
I’m in the UK.

I agree Freddiejosh, any insurance company is only as good as it’s willingness to payout for a legitimate claim. Fortunately, I have not had to put mine to the test but I look forward to reading responses from those who have…….
I had to claim from Staysure and they were a nightmare to deal with and caused me an unnecessary amount of stress at a time when additional stress was the last thing I needed.
Yes that seems to be the case looking at a few reviews. Glad I’m sorted with my bank now. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Hope this helps others who might need insurance.
I have just booked my travel insurance with Staysure as I have Afib and I'm going on a cruise. I have used Staysure before and they paid up pretty quick when my Mum passed away and I had to cancel my cruise
I always used Travel4Medical & had 2 claims (not for AF) and they were excellent but I believe they are no longer offering cover. The were owned by WorldFirst. Who did you go with as a matter of interest?
Hi, my bank is the Halifax. I have travel insurance with my bank account and didn’t think they would cover me now with my pre existing conditions. However, after paying an extra premium I’ve now got worldwide cover for a year.
Depend on age. We used to have annual with our bank, stopped once you reached 60 I think? Also once we started to get more medical conditions, AF, cancer, Autoimmune they didn’t want to know and we just couldn’t get annual cover from anyone, only single trip.
