help with medication question

I had a pacemaker implanted on January 4th. When I came home from the hospital, I was on 40 mg of nadolol. I was very dizzy and tired, so I called the doctor and asked about the medication and told him my symptoms. He said if you don't feel well just go off of it, so I did. I thought he would suggest reducing the dosage but didn't, now I have been off of it for several weeks and just feel concerned that I should be on a lower dosage as an added support for my heart. Has anyone with a pacemaker been taken off all medication? Should I get a second opinion?

Since we are not medically traned here we can't answer drug related questions so best to discuss with your cardiologist if your GP is unhelpful.
