Hi All
So I’m back home and was shattered yesterday after no sleep on the ward the previous night ( nothing to do with procedure the ward was just noisy and busy ).
As advised I have done absolutely nothing and to be honest I’m enjoying it ( wife and kids not so much lol ) .
At present I have had no real side effects from the procedure , the first 24 hours was slightly uncomfortable when taking a deep breath in .
I’m fully aware those side effects don't normally kick in until day 3 so I won’t be taking anything for granted and will remain in full rest mode .
My incision from the op in the groin is healing nicely and has caused no issue other than being a bit sore which is totally understandable .
My meds are the same so I have no changes in that department until I go back in 6 weeks for a follow up maybe etc .
I’ve decided not wear my Apple Watch yet as I’m sure that will lead to obsession and stress of monitoring myself , we have to remember that this is a process and I’m likely to have an episode of AF as this is just the beginning of the process and the blanking period and nothing has changed yet except I’m a step closer .
All in all though it’s been a positive couple days and I’m looking forward to a day of watching football and being waited on hand and foot lol .
Will update you all again on day 4 or sooner if there have been any changes .
Thanks
Matt
