Hi ..I'm taking riviroxaban 20mg and im 5 weeks post ablation. About 2 weeks after I started taking riviroxaban I had the return of gastritis but still had my ablation done. 5 weeks on and the gastritis is as bad as ever and very debilitating so I spoke to my EP and he has changed riviroxaban to edoxaban as riviroxaban can cause many stomach issues.
Thing is I was on riviroxaban 20mg and now on edoxaban at 60mg ...which is a huge mg increase . Am wondering if this normal increase or is it an error and it should be 20mg really? 🤔

I was on Rivaroxaban 20 mg too, and after I had a very mild TIA, was changed to Edoxaban 30mg by the hospital. When I asked GP for a repeat prescription, they gave me 60mg, which I queried, and was asked how much I weighed. I said 9st 2lbs, so was put back on 30mg. Apparently it goes by weight, but the doc did say it didn’t matter that much?? Hope that helps.
