Had mine yesterday and although I found the experience uncomfortable, I know I've done the right thing. I feel tired today and I've also had a few vision disturbances, but that's completely normal. I've done nothing today, and as it's the weekend, I'll probably do little tomorrow, but then I can start to get more active at a slow pace. Good luck, I hope it all goes well, and try not to worry.🙂
Ablations were fine, very easy but my recovery was very very slow. Took me four months before I could walk a brisk four miles again. Others seem to recover much quicker though
Hi my husband is having an ablation next week and is taking Apixaban. He has been told not to take it on the morning of the procedure but its fine after that. Good luck
I had my Ablation in November . After the 1st week of resting started doing 20 mins walking 2x a day . Gradually built my fitness back . The fact sheets that are on this sight are very reassuring as are everyone too. I was very worried I was doing the best thing having the op but have just started to reduce my medication on consultant advice so am happy that I did go through with it. All good so far. Wishing you well with the op. Maggie
For me, the worrying about it all ahead of time is the hard part. Getting it done is the easiest bit. Recovery can be slow, but it’s not hard, just have to take it easy. Read the patient sheets BobD linked and keep your mind distracted for the next few weeks. Best of luck!
