And here is another ECG taken some minutes later:
Kardia ECG (no 2): And here is another... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Kardia ECG (no 2)
Both look more like interference than anything cardiac related. Forget the kardia, how do you feeel now?
I feel generally well during the day. All the problems seem to be at night with ongoing ectopics and palpitations. My latest theory is that it might be caused by reflux, but who knows?
There are times when I cannot lie flat either on my side or back, otherwise I'm plagued by ectopics. I find that propping up slightly gives relief - and may also benefit the reflux. I suspect upsets in stomach/digestion are my problem.
I agree with Bob - looks like sinus rhythm with movement or other interference in the signal. Keep the Kardia away from electronic equipment, dampen your fingertips and hold still.
Yes, I think you are right- the Kardia was not still during the reading; the idea was to take a reading without sitting up.
I often get a weird reading whilst lying down. Sometimes Kardiamobile doesn't resolve the reading very well in that position. Does it tell you the reading is unclassified? You can update the App and select 'Advanced Determination' mode. It can then detect ectopics of different types. However as Bob says - what matters is how you FEEL. I got a bit wound up initally when Kardia told me every morning that I get Supra Ventricular Ectopics with NSR. Then I decided to stop worrying about it. Only get them after lying down anyway. If you think your issue is acid reflux come back to me. I've had it for 20 years and have controlled it by and large with diet and a few lifestyle changes.
This is also NSR. Both show some interference, possibly because your skin was a bit dry. Try dampening your skin but only very slightly, before using. I have to do that sometimes.
There are no ectopic beats shown. Possibly what you are feeling is related, as you say, to a hiatus hernia or similar. I get a great deal of mild chest discomfort and I can never be sure of its origin, except that I feel it lasts far too long to be from my heart and my cardiologist ignored it once he saw my cardia stress MRI was fine!
Steve
I've been getting lots of Kardia ECGs which show a fairly slow heart rate (sometimes a bradycardia) and ectopics. I'm still getting the ectopics and intermittent "heavy" beats when lying on my back. I saw a GP this evening who says that the fact that the heart isn't going faster is a good sign and doesn't suggest that the medication (Sotalol) is failing -but he cannot do anything about the ectopics etc. He says that the intermittent chest discomfort may be from focussing on and tensing the muscle that area but I am a bit dubious about that. At any rate after a long period of being PAF free it seems to be making g s comeback- I'm hoping it's not progression g to persistent AF.
Many thanks for your reply.
