I thought this an excellent read, especially for those who suffer from poor sleep - which we know will affect AF

Hiya CD,Thanks for that reference. At least when I am working my bus shifts I am comfortable with early starts - in some cases I am checking my bus over ready to go into service at 05.40am.

Interesting read, I aways sleep better if I don't eat lots of snacks watching tv! Hard in the winter evenings with all the chocs about though.

Thank you CD, increasingly obvious that attention to diet and good sleep are so vital to our overall health,not just throwing pills at it.As Desmond Tutu once said;

' we need to row upstream and see why people are getting into the water rather than just picking them out downstream'

In other words the source not the result.

Very interesting.x

Thanks for that link CDreamer, very interesting indeed.

Like a lot of folks I added a few pounds of lockdown lard during the last 2 years. When my BMI finally hit 25 I realised I really did have to take myself in hand.

My daughter recommended an app called Noom. So I subscribed and I have been following it faithfully since early November and have had a very satisfying 10lb weight loss so far. However, and more importantly, it is retraining me into being much more mindful about what and how I eat. The app delves into the psychology of weight gain and loss, diet and sleep, exercise etc, so it does require commitment from the user.

I shall carry on with the app until my BMI is 24 and by then I am pretty sure the subtle changes I have made will be automatic.
