My daughter gave me this book for Xmas. I have just started reading it. It explains a new approach to understanding and optimizing the vagus nerve. It even explains how to do exercises that help with many ailments varying from migraine headaches to autism. Maybe some of you have read it.
Book title: Accessing the Healing Power of the Vagus Nerve

Thanks for posting. Stanley Rosenberg is an interesting guy as he developed Polyvagal Theory related to Trauma just as I was retiring so I read a lot of his stuff, didn’t agree with all of it but thought he was on the right track and learned a lot. One of my Lifestyle Doctors trained with him for sacrocranial therapy and I found it very powerful - I was one of their case study clients.

My chiropractor recently told me about this exercise. When it is done, you should notice movement in vertebrae T1 to about T4. It amazed me that moving your eyes exercises your spine.
I initially gave the stiffness and pain on turning my head and neck around 5/10, but after the “eye” exercise it had miraculously improved to around 2/10! Astonishing release!
Thank you so much for sharing. It’s a lifesaver! 😀
I’ve just stared reading ‘Breath, the new science of a lost art’, by James Nestor. I’ve been doing the deep, expansive breathing exercises for just a couple of days and already my PAF has reduced dramatically (it was happening 2-3 times a week). I also go to sleep with a deep breathing yoga Nidra recording playing quietly, which is helping me sleep much better.
And I am consulting an osteopath and an Accupuncturist to treat deep-seated tight muscles and also to address longterm stress.
It’s Boxing Day as I write this and I’ve deliberately ‘poked the dragon’ as I call it; I’ve had quite a lot of red wine, sugar and wheat……and no AFib so far. 🤞😀
I’m excited to see how it goes over the next few weeks.
