My chest discomfort was much less today, but called my Dr anyway. They said that this happens to some after ablation and not to worry unless it lasts for more than a couple weeks.

No, it the second one. First was 2 1/2 years ago. But I did not have the tightness in my chest the first time.

There we are, those words from your doc have given you peace of mind. How is the soreness now, is it begining to ease off?

I hope you're feeling better today. I had my 2nd ablation a week ago tomorrow, I'm slowly feeling more like myself again.

I too had chest discomfort for about two weeks following my first (cryo) ablation. Here's hoping yours goes away soon.

I was told that pericarditis happens for some people - felt like I was in a vise and couldn't take a full breath. Rx of colchicine is the usual treatment and that made it go away. That was 3 years ago and I still remember how horrible it felt!
