Booster Pfeizer - unexpected side effects today!

Hi everyone! I have not been on here for a while.

I just wanted to share that I had my Booster vaccination today (Pfeizer) and was not expecting the reaction I had. I was sitting afterwards, for that 15-minuted after injection time, and began to feel dizzy, light-headed and then my heart started racing. I have not had an Atrial Fibrillation episode for 2 years, since my last (3rd) ablation in September 2019 . This was so frightening. It was not a bad episode but I had to first sit on the floor and then was escorted gently into a side room, where I lay on a couch for about 20 minutes. They questioned whether I was anxious (well, yes!) and I have had a lot of anxiety of late, as my brother died last week, who I was very close to and was with him at the hospital etc ... and I have a busy part-time job, but I know it is none of that. It is the vaccine. I still feel wobbly but was able to walk home (10 minutes) and actually fell asleep on my sofa for a bit and felt better. I do feel better but can feel it coursing around my body. I am not a fat person and am wondering why fat and thin people are given the same quantity of vaccine? Has any one else had this side effect? It is not mentioned if you Google it!!! I completed a Yellow Card form (as they suggest on the leaflet they give you at the Booster site).

I had no side effects from Astra Zeneca 1 and just a few headaches after Astra Zeneca 2, so this has been a horrid shock! I just hope it does not recur!

Hi fifitb, firstly I’m very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother, what a very difficult time for you. Both of my vaccines have been Pfizer and I had the same reaction as you to the first dose - felt dizzy and lightheaded with heart racing. Happily it settled after about 20 mins and didn’t recur. Had no reaction at all to the second dose other than a sore arm. Not due the third until early February but, like Meadfoot, not completely convinced about it.

I do hope you feel better from the effects of the vaccine soon.

With all best wishes to you.

Hi,

May you create a little more calm and peace in your life.

I had only a mild reaction, however my friend suffered similarly to you. On the bright side, he is well now

I’m sorry you suffered. I had mild reactions to all 3 Pfitzer vaccines but no heart issues.

I caught COVID early October, just before my booster was due & it was absolutely horrible & had a lot of heart issues which resulted in Paramedics being called & trip to A&E. I am pretty sure that although I was very ill for 3 weeks, had it not been for the vaccine I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have survived.

Hopefully, now you have protection, you can avoid catching it.

Hope you feel better soon & very sorry for your loss. Best wishes

Hi - I did post about 3 weeks ago after I’d had my booster. The following morning I fainted in the shower (never fainted before) then went into AF for 9 hours

All fine since - I also completed a yellow card

How awful for you. I certainly hope all our reports to the Yellow Card are read and acknowledged and not dismissed as 'anxiety' and rare anyway, as I think it is seeming to be not rare to have such horrid side-effects!

I had a Pfizer booster exactly two weeks ago and was told by cardiac nurses that it could produce ectopics or AF up to three weeks after. However they said that this was not common. The GP who administered the vaccine said that they had had no instances of AF reported. It sounds as if this could have been the product of the extra stress you have been under. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. I think it is more common than 'they' are reporting! I agree I have had a lot of stress but I know this was caused by the booster jab. Thank you for kind message.

Hello fifitb. Firstly, our deepest condolences on the loss of your brother.

Ref vaccine boosters, my hubby and I both had Pfizer boosters on Thursday. Apart from feeling a bit tired and having sore arms, we've had no other reactions.

My sister had a bout of unexpected AF (it had disappeared for 3 years!) just after her Pfizer booster. Everything calmed down after a couple of days.

Sending love and hugs to you at this sad time. Best wishes. Jan xxx

Thank you!

Have not taken the jab. So far so good, no side effects at all, lol! Look at the pressure that people take the jab! Do you really find it being normal!?!

Sorry to hear about the death of your brother. We have lost a few friends and family during the pandemic and were unable to attend funerals because of the lockdown restriction so know how hard things have been and for some still are.

I am happy to say that I have now had 3 jabs and flu jab and no side effects from any of them. First two were Pfizer - and only had a sore arm after second jab 3rd jab was Moderna and again not even a sore arm. Some people unfortunately are going to have side effects and I am sorry you are experiencing a hard time after your booster. Hope things clear soon.

I had my first AF attack in 18 months just 2 days after my booster....fine now a month later.

I had a very bad AFib attack a few days after my Pfitzer booster (first two Astra Zenica). and had to go to A&E with low blood pressure, weak pulse and feeling awful. I have also had another attack yesterday (3 weeks after vaccination) but managed to ride it out. I only get A-Fib every 6months or so normally. I am sure it is the vaccination. I have reported this on the yellow card. Stay well.

Thank you! That sounds really awful. I contacted Yellow Card and let's hope they take note of this! Lets also hope we have no more of these episodes!

Hi fifitb, at least you’re protected now after having your booster. And I do hope you’re feeling better soon. There is always a chance of a reaction from any injection.? Iv had all covid jabs and a booster and been more or less ok. But I had the flu jab and felt awful and had a AFIB episode 12 hours later.!!!! We can’t win. Also I think a dose of any vaccine is a standard size for anyone no matter how much fat your carrying.? It’s not the amount per size of person, Any vaccination we have is a dead virus. This dead virus is introduced into our system through our jabs. and our fighter cells go and meet this invader. Once they meet it they recognise it’s a nasty invader but it’s dead thankfully.!!! But they know what it looks like.? So they all have a talk about it and say ok let’s put more armour on ready for any future invasion of this invader just in case it comes back.👍👍

I love your explanation Jetcat! Thank you, it made me smile! I had no reaction from the flu jab (apart from achey arm and a bit sleepy - nothing scary!). Today, I feel wiped out but after my asanas and meditation, how much better I felt!

Forgive me if It came across as patronising fifitb I but it’s just my comical way I try explaining things. I think we all learn things better if it’s put over in a funnier way. I think it makes things easier and fun. 👍

That’s actually not how this jab works .. you are explaining how a standard vaccine works .. this is new technology.. not at all like any “vaccine” we have ever had in the world.

sorry niki I didn’t know that. How does it work.?

Hi fifitb,

Sorry to read of your drama. Mine was dramatic too and if you click on my username, then click on my past posts you'll see I wrote about my experience ..... headed up ..... CoVid Booster.

Didn't feel that good after my Flu jab a few weeks ago either, just more flu like. The CoVid was the humdinger .

I had that reaction to a one tenth Moderna jab- systolic 136, diastolic 40, and unstable several hrs. I have allergies as well as 3 yrs post ablation and diabetes. So far I’ve not had any more jabs. My lead consultant is still thinking what to do.
