Back in Af after 2 months 🙁

Spoke to my echocardiologist in March, 2 days after going back into Af, he said to have a 3rd cardioversion & then another ablation( 2nd). Had my cardioversion 10th sept & all was well till I woke up this morning back in Af. Heart rate settled around 90. Absolutely gutted. No idea what caused it, not done or eaten anything diff. My mum passed away end of sept & could have understood if it had happened then as that was v stressful obviously. Going to try & ring consultants sec in morning if still the same.

Should have said when I go into af it’s always constant. 😟

This could still be caused by stress. It takes a long time to get over a parent's death - if ever.

It could still have been caused by your Mums death even so. I always found that I was fine over the stressful period but things would start to go haywire a month or so afterwards when in general things had started to settle down again.

Hope your consultant's secretary was able to help Good luck with the second ablation.

My a-fib episodes would happen after the fact, that is, some time after a traumatic event -- not during it, as was the case with both my mother's and father's deaths.

Thank you for your replies. Didn’t get hold of consultants sec today. I have a follow up appt tomorrow for my recent cardioversion so will see what they say & try secretary again after that. X
