Hi Matt, try typing Holiday Insurance in the Search icon at the top and you will find a selection of posts relating to this.
Personally I found Saga very good to deal with and also AllClear.
Have you visited the A F Association website? we offer some recommendations of Companies that are comparable and sympathetic in their approach to individuals living with a heart rhythm condition. I used worldwideunsure two years back but it could be different now, I’d had ablation so they accepted that.I’m in France it was hard to find anywhere for worldwide and was goung Australia.
If your Europe holidaying fromuk you can the GHic card in U.K. for Europe.
Sue
What is a GHic card?
Hi the GHIC is the same as the old EHIC....which ran out after brexit although u can still use EHic until the date if it runs out. It’s a health cover for EU countries that the U.K. has brokered with the other countries. But each country varies slightly. I was ill in Spain with heart and they didn’t want any money at hospital it was covered by card....herein France I think you pay some and claim back in U.K. whrn u get home. It covers hospitalization not minor stuff like colds etc.......
Try staysure, I have holiday insurance with them and I have other health issues, there are a few on the market try Saga as well
I had a very bad experience with Staysure and would not go with them again because of that. I had a small claim with Saga and they were fine to deal with.
We went to Portugal in August and Saga covered me, including AF. Make sure to provide that info in your application. Good luck.
I use the holiday insurance they offer from my local post office. Not the cheapest but I’m fully covered for my afib etc.
I have used Barclays as I use them for everyday banking etc. Quite straightforward.
