I live in the Midlands and wondered if any of you had experience of changing your EP and if so how did you go about it? Following on from the telephone consultation with my EP yesterday I was left very dissatisfied and with no faith in him whatsoever. The conversation I had with the AF nurse three weeks prior to yesterday was very different. I felt listened to, understood and that there could be some hope and relief from the recurring AF episodes I have been having for the past six months.
I have had two ablations, the first one didn't work and the second lasted just over two years.
I would really appreciate any advice.
Many thanks
Gloria

Hello, was similar to yourself in that I had two ablations which only lasted a few days each time. Then I passed out on the golf course and my EP suggested a pace and ablate, which I have had and so far its quite successful. However, having little choice made the decision easier to make.
I am in North Somerset and my EP is Dr Ashley Nisbet from Southmead NHS and
private at The Spire Bristol, I have every faith in her
UCHW (Walsgrave) has a good EP Proff Osman. The arrthymia nurses, with exception of one who I think I'd be reluctant to allow charge of a goldfish) ate helpful. One thing that annoys me is that if I do go for ablation,I may not have him doing it on the day, depends on the list apparently. So 'choosing ' an EP may be an academic argument!
I've also heard Proff Ng at Leicester Glenfield is fantastic and actually trained Proff Osman.
