Hi , feel a bit daft with this, I don’t know if I have taken my Xarelto dose this evening? Do you reckon it’s ok to wait until the next dose is due tomorrow evening? I take 20mg every evening x
Xarelto - did I take it or not?😱 - Atrial Fibrillati...
Xarelto - did I take it or not?😱
Bless you Tilly, so easily done. Our minds are not what they used to be these days are they! I think we've all been in your position. I keep my anticoagulants in a days of the week box now for that very reason.
BobD will be along with the answer for you soon I hope. I cant remember what the advice is, cough, cough!

If you look under pinned posts there are instructions for all anticoags in such circumstances.
Thank you, BobD, I will just take one tomorrow teatime. I am almost sure I didn’t take it, but not quite sure enough to feel happy taking it 😱🤣 x
best get ne of those boxes with morning and evening compartments. That is what most of us do.
It’s once a day
But not all pills are, You don't just use it for rivaroxaban! Most peoeple take lots of drugs.
It’s embarrassing to say the pill packets show the day to take it, it’s my fault for being frugal and using up the ones where I had missed them over the last couple of months (not that many) so days were wrong on the odds and sods🤣 won’t do that again! Thank you for your advice x
I do the same ( save up missed ones ) but only use them when I have seven , which is usually seven different sheets gathered over a year.
I always start on Monday so know straight away if I have missed a day.
I'm still fortunate enough to be working so I've set my "Outlook" to remind me what and when to take them! I make lists and reminders for everything else so why not tablets!
Oh don't dispair about age and forgetfulness...I'm only 66 and have...and always have had a mind like a sieve. I can't remember why I can't remember 😆 ....but seriously, I'm not flogging smart watches again, but one of the many handy features besides sinus rhythm monitoring and afib alert and recording is pill reminders 🙂 ...I use a brilliant little free app called MediSafe, you input your drugs, conditions, etc, choose an alert tone...subtle or not so subtle 😏...and it will remind you. You can also choose gentle vibration and tone, or just vibration. It is full featured allowing for pill colour, size, type, refill alerts...when you get low it lets you know. Caveat...you must have an Android or Apple phone for smartwatches to pair with and work, but will work away from the phone, and vice versa.
I can't speak to FitBit and other fitness watches.
Also, all phones, tablets, laptops and computers have calendars in them.
It's quite simple to program them to remind you daily. Most also have a basic "reminder" and or "sticky notes" feature, but they can be a pain to program for repeating daily reminders. The upside, no $ outlay for a watch.
If not your cup of tea, then yup...the ol' reliable weekly pill box 🙂...I'd probably forget where I put it 😜

Yes without a doubt -it's best to wait rather than overdose and risk bleeding.
Just a thought for Tilly and others, as Rivaroxiban is meant to be taken with a meal, just make it natural to put the pill out with the cutlery. You won't miss or forget then!
