For those that have had an ablation, I have had my date through for October which is great šbut Iām due to go away 10 days later on holiday. Itās a lodge type holiday in Stratford upon Avon so nothing too strenuous so in your experience will this still be ok, still planning on taking it easy and letting partner deal with the children š

I can only tell you that after my ablations, there's no way I could have gone off on holiday with children after 10 days.
I've looked back at your other posts and seen that you're a young mum, so guess you may heal quicker than I did. A lot of us get feelings of extreme tiredness afterwards, which may make it difficult to walk far. You could feel wonderfully well after your ablation, but it's a risk going on holiday. I'm sure others here may well say go, especially if they felt well so soon.
As long as you plan on doing nothing and I mean nothing, not even drive it will be fine. Plan for the worst and if your a quick healer brilliant. Someone told me I would be up and about in 24 hours so I had appointments at work booked for Two days later. I ended up being out six weeks.
Read the pinned information sheet itās brilliant and helped me out massively.
Everyone is different and experiences vary significantly. So my advice is prepare for the worst.
Only got a few minutes left before my Wi-fi disappears so bear with me! The best advice we can give is to do nothing for week 1 and not much more for week 2 then as gradually as possible, return to normal as long a normal doesnāt include heavy manual work or excessive exercise. I guess it doesnāt matter whether you do nothing in Stratford upon Avon or at home except there may be more temptation to overdo things. My main concern would be the ability to have access to medical support in the (hopefully) unlikely event you need it.
Hopefully your partner will ensure that you are able to rest and follow the advice in the factsheetā¦ā¦.
In my view - perfect! I flew to Spain about 10 days after my 2nd ablation with no problems. I expect you will have the children wherever you are.
We will all have different experiences and different attitudes but in the end itās how YOU feel and how confident you are. See how you are right up to the day before. Whatās the worst that could happen? You will probably have some bumps along the road, some ectopics, strange feelings etc but ensure you read the recovery leaflet, take plenty of rest and eat little and often good, healthy food and enjoy.
Whilst we do recommend that you take things very easy for the first few weeks, as a young mum with children you will have problems keeping to that wherever you are. My advice is go for it but work harder at doing nothing.
Thanks for all your replies, itās definitely a mixed bag, it seems to be how well each individual has recovered. At the moment Iām going to carry on as if we are still going and see how I feel after the procedure. I plan on doing nothing and on the days when my partner and children go out I will opt to stay at the lodge. Iām quite happy to chill and read my kindle. I will keep everyone updated with the outcome and hopefully things go to plan
Yes, as you're young I would go and just do nothing strenuous as you say. I'm weeks off my 77th bday , had a lengthy ablation 6 weeks ago and would have been ok providing I didn't have children to look after....( only husband and that's enough)
