Has anyone ever taken edoxaban?

Hello again guys.

As I’ve written in another post I have been having massive problems with riveroxaban after taking it for last 2 weeks. My gp has just switched me too edoxaban 60mg. Just curious as to if anyone has used it before and if so how did they get on? In my other post various people mentioned apixaban and that’s what I thought he was putting me on but turns out not. At this point im just happy to be off rivaroxaban but hoping this one doesn’t come with a different bunch of side affects for me 🙏🤞

Hi Elli86I have taken edoxaban for 2 years with no problems. I do have a lot of headaches but don't think they're to do with edoxaban

Thanks for swift response. Were you on different anti coags before? If so did you have headaches then?

Edoxaban is the only one I've been on. Prescribed when first diagnosed with AF. These are new headaches but I'm other meds as well. What problems did you have with rivaroxaban?

I've been on Edoxaban since having a stroke in December 2019. No issues whatever. No headache. Had two molars removed last year, no issues then either. Just had to miss the dose the morning of the extractions (done on two separate procedures) Hope you settle on it x

I've been on 60mg edoxaban, 240mg Sotalol and 5mg bisoprolol for PAF. No side effects whatsoever including no headaches, I guess these drugs are very "person dependant" with side effects... I read somewhere that edoxaban is the best thinner for AFib ....

I was on Apixaban for a couple of years but was switched to edoxaban some six months ago when my consultant was changing my nine meds one by one to isolate which was causing my side effects. It was none of them as I’m still experiencing them and every one has been changed, so edoxiban isn’t a culprit either.

Was on Rivaroxaban for a year with no side effects, then I had a slight TIA and was then put on 30mg Edoxaban, and have had no problems with that either. At the same time the consultant put me on 4 mg perindopril instead of 2mg. and the side effects of that were terrible. Good luck with it.

I'm also on edoxaban since January this year, no side effects that I am aware of unlike the bisporpol I was taking before that. I wasn't on blood thinners when first diagnosed but got meds change when the minimum dosage of bisporpol had unpleasant side effects.

I've never had my bloods checked whilst on Apixaban. Not ever.

I was on Apixaban and then Riveroxaban. I had really bad side effects with both of them and also with clopidogrel. I have now been taken off them and I am doing much better.

I moved from warfarin to Edoxaban about 2 year’s ago. No problems and a relief not to have to maintain INR.

Like honey1958 I've been on edoxaban for about two years and have had no problems. Best wishes.

Zero problems with Edoxaban for me, been on it 3 weeks.

Thanks splash. Forgot I’d written this post which is a good thing I suppose as I’ve had zero issues myself since moving over to edoxaban from riveroxaban. Been so much better and had much more energy 👍
