Superstitious! No! I'm just glad to be getting my much anticipated 1st ablation by Dr Simon Sporton at St Barts. Pulmonary Vein Isolation PVI that may require a 2nd ablation for a better success percentage! Will keep you posted!

Don't forget to read these two fact sheets on preparing for and recovering from ablation
Great team at Barts’s. Good luck to you and safe, speedy recovery and ditto what Bob said.
Friday 13th can be lucky for some. I think I'm one of them, bet you are too.
Best wishes.
Jean
Good luck nick. You’ll be fine.👍 let us know how you get on. Take it easy.
Good luck, I had a procedure at St Bart's and their high tech laboratories are a thing of wonder! I'm sure you'll be well looked after by their amazing teams. 😀
Great opportunity. I'm 15 weeks in after RF ablation at QEH BIRMINGHAM and no regrets. Just avoid the badminton for a bit 😉. I'm only now starting the mow the lawn and use a small strimmer
Wishing you all the best
Hi Nick , how long was the waiting list for your ablation ?
I’ve just got myself transferred to Barts for an ablation , got my first appointment next week , already had echo and 48 hour ecg privately and have diagnosis so I’m hoping that will speed things up
Mr Sporton has been my consultant for five years when the local hospital referred me to him. He has been brilliant for me my first ablation didn’t last long. Number two lasted about 18 months until I got a flu virus. Number three last September failed but he has always been honest with the chances of success. Even now he hasn’t given up and I’m halfway through a Pace and Ablate procedure. The care and facilities at Barts are excellent. Might be in the same day as you! Good luck to you despite the date.!
Dr Sporton has been my consultant for several years and I had a cryo ablation in January 2017. I am mostly AF free, I sometimes have very short episodes lasting about a minute but my quality of life has improved immensely. My Covid jab caused a couple of longer episodes but my heart has now settled again. He has said he will do a 2nd ablation if I need it.I hope all goes well when you have your ablation. You are in good hands.
