I’ve been on Apixaban for a year or so. I’ve used chain saws and multiple power tools. I’ve built a kitchen and got a few minor cuts and scrapes in the process. No big drama. I managed to stab my hand cutting an avocado stone out and bled a bit but it was easily treated locally. Bought an avocado cutter to prevent repetition! Hope it works for you…
Don’t worry!: I’ve been on Apixaban for... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Don’t worry!
Nice one Puzzler.
Tell you why - "no big drama". You are controlling afib and it's not controlling you. That positive mindset will help no end.
Well done you.
Paul
Hi Puzzler, I’m guessing, but I’m assuming your post is in response to concerns about Apixaban raised by kalgs recently so I’ve made him aware. Apologies if I’ve got it wrong.......🤨
Puzzler
Obviously you've played hard, dun good 😂😂.
That's what we like to see .... give the old AF a real message 😃
As I mentioned in my other post. Just be careful around head banging. If a football fan and your English and they loose, use a cushion. I'll use one when Wales play Italy. Serious point, be watchful on any knocks to the head, that could cause unseen bleeds on the brain.
Me too . . . except that power tools now frighten me a bit and I've turned my woodworking almost entirely to hand tools. I built a 9m x 3m cabin in place of my garage last year, kitted out half as a workshop and half as storage/summer house. Timber construction with wool insulation and fibre cement skin with steel roof. Very proud of it! Out went the circular saw, and now I use the much safer plunge / track saw. I have three power routers, but haven't used them for years since I now own old wooden moulding planes and nearly a dozen other varieties of hand plane. At 71 I've finally given up solo sailing, but will willingly crew for others or perhaps go with a crewed charter boat instead.
Sorry but not sure what the question is .
