Trying an experiment, early days

Hi guys, all has been quiet lately apart from three brief AFib episodes in January sorted out with an additional 100 mg of Flecainide in addition to my daily 9.00 pm one. Notes on each of the last six episodes 3 in 2019 and 3 this year have this common feature “very bloated”. My cardiologist sent me to see a gastroenterologist who did some bloods and a gastroscopy. All clear BUT he reckons I may, like many people have developed a wheat intolerance, which surprise surprise can be caused by stress….two weeks wheat free and the bloating has almost disappeared. Will be interested to see if there is any correlation to AF and / or ectopics as per Sanjay Gupta but only time will tell. Saw my cardiologist on Tuesday and my ECG was spot on.

So good to hear you have found some relief. The wheat intolerance is very interesting. Good luck with keeping things in oder moving forward.

Well done for identifying this issue for you. I would advise anyone to cut out 90% of gluten and 75% of sugar. With the former it may be in due course you can go back to organic spelt, it can be the modern wheat varieties and large bread manufacturers that cause the harm.
