Well today I should be having my ablation. But yesterday lunchtime I got a phone call saying my consultant has been called away elsewhere so I've been postponed until the 26th. So that means I have a couple of days off and then back into yet another week of self isolation. I totally understand why this has happened - the worst part for me is the self isolation again .......
Postponed ablation: Well today I should... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Postponed ablation
How frustrating for you and all the build up wasted. Pleased you are taking it in your stride and good luck for next time.
I accept these things happen. I did have to rearrange my second COVID vaccination as that had been booked for the 23rd... One plus was I was able to collect my daughter from hospital yesterday afternoon. She was relying on a friend getting her on her way home from work. At least I was able to deliver her to her own bed for recovery 😃
Just sending support and encouragement over the air waves. Even in self isolation you are not alone - people are thinking about you. Fingers crossed that 26th comes round quickly - maybe some spring sunshine will help - and your ablation is successful.
Awww, I was wondering how you got on yesterday as I've only just seen this. I'm hoping they don't have to cancel mine next week as I've moved a months worth of my own patients (I'm an advanced foot health practitioner) to isolate for 3 days and for the recovery afterwards. Sorry you've had this happen at the last minute. I was relying on you to tell me it was problem free, you felt terrific and there was nothing to worry about 🤣.
This happened to me earlier this year. Make it known to them that it’s not easy getting time off work and that you have obligations that are impacted by isolation and they won’t bump you off the list again. Good luck for 26th!
This happened to me when I had mine last year, phone call the evening before, postponed for 2 weeks. It's so stressful, getting yourself mentally prepped for it, then having to do it all again. Hope you have a smooth and speedy recovery.
Oh deary me, that is so upsetting as we all know how we get worked up all ready for it, but you sound pretty understanding. The 26th will soon come round, but I know in isolation time weighs heavy.Wishing you all the best for the ablation.
And after rest rest rest! Grin!

Oh that is a bit of a bummer. Best of luck.
