Pulmonary Vein Isolation

I had a PVI done in FEB of 2016. I used to have 6-10 skipped beats a minute. Now I literally have none. I am very grateful for this procedure. I do have some days every now and then where I have a few skipped beats and it makes me super anxious. Anyone in this boat?

I had a PVI ablation back in 2005 and it worked straight away, no AF at all. Then after 8-9 years I started to get a few problems again, but nothing like it would have been without the ablation. I get skipped beats all the time, doesn't bother me. I have got used to when I get them as well, such as after eating, so I eat small meals only. Also cut out most caffeine, no alcohol at all, and keep stress down as much as I can which can be impossible sometimes.

I don't think that fear ever goes. I worry more about AF coming back than the cancer I had.

Hi I had 2 ablations one Feb 17 and another, one week ago for ectopic heartbeats I had the first under sedation which had to be stopped and the one last week under a general, so one week post ablation I see no improvement and just having constant ectopics had the aura migranes also all week! My EP seen me after I came out of theatre and said he felt the problem was coming from the moderater band and as this was a fairly new development just discovered in Feb this year not a lot is known about it I'm feeling very down and wondering is this my life I havent been back to work since November as the heartbeats were so bad I couldnt walk climb stairs and have been housebound! I am 55 year old woman always had ectopics but last year suddenly came and stayed permanently! I previously walked 5 miles a day had a personal trainer went to dance classes, kayaked and led a very full life now I feel, where do I go from here, I am on 240 Verapamil but its not really helping! any advice much appreciated.

Hi Scott how are you? I have been prescribed Flecainide and Nebivolol and have been doing very well although a bit breathless and put on 1 stone, small price to pay! I have however been contacted by my EP last week he has access now to new equipment and has had very good results with the new technology I cant remember what it was called high density I think, so I have to make a decision to stay on the medication or try for this new procedure has anyone else heard of this new technology?
