Hi, I’ve got a cardioCall vs20 heart monitor for 7 days, first question is it ok to wear a scan watch with as I’m wearing it 24/7, I’m to record three events which is going to be difficult as I’ve only had 4 af episodes in 4 weeks (3 in 48 hours) I get many palpitations during a day so not worth recording methinks, when it goes back to cardiologist without me recording the three events does it still record and save the time I’m on it? or is all the data lost

I didn't know what a scanwatch is so looked it up

Should be fine to use the watch, I wear my iWatch all the time even with a Holter monitor.
Hi, thank you, it is a withings scan watch I have, it’s brilliant for recording my af episodes, luckily it recorded the four episodes that I can show the cardiologist if nothing shows on the cardiocall, I was just worried that like with electric blankets and microwaves the signals would be interrupted during an episode if I get the chance to record one
Hi. I used to use the Withings MoveECG watch, until the cheap plastic case crumbled and the crystal got too scratched up to still look good. Since the monitoring that these (and the Kardia) do is a passive measuring of the electrical signals detected down each arm, filtered out for the heart beat signature, they would not interfere with any other detection device. The only possible problem could be with another Bluetooth device, but even that should not be a worry.
Hi, thank you for your reply, I rang the cardiologist dept this morning and they advise it is ok, sorry to hear your watch has let you down, did you return it to withings? The scan watch doesn’t have a plastic casing and I’ve knocked the facing many times in the 3 months I’ve had it and not a scratch. I really bought it for my AF and BPM so I could record it to show the cardiologist (which is months away 🙁) she wants a record of how many af episodes I get as to whether an ablation is required, I like the watch on the whole as I’m a gym addict and it’s a fun way to record all that I do
Glad to hear it's working out for you. There is a forum for Withings users, that's full of complaints of how Withings don't respond to complaints etc. No, my watch was more than 12 months old, and on it's third (supposed 1 year) battery. I threw it in the bin in disgust. I did love that watch when it looked so nice, and worked so well. It's a shame about the battery issue and that the case was designed not to be opened for a battery change so often. I think they now regret the MoveECG design, and have gone back to rechargeable. How long does your battery last between charges? My old Fitbit (that I returned to after the MoveECG) now needs a recharge every three days, it used to be six.
Hi, it last roughly 30 days with a two year guarantee, so far it’s been brilliant touch wood, I’ve never had a Fitbit before, this is a first time for me, it really is user friendly, the downside it’s quite expensive and I had to buy a new mobile as mine was to old and did not support the app so quite expensive buy but so worth it
