I’ve been back in hospital. Ever since my Ablation in October I’ve had this odd thing:
A sudden, sharp stabbing/ burning pain in my heart area, goes as quick as it comes. Then it happens practically every few minutes or so. It had been lasting a day or so.
This time on 30th Dec it came and did not go. Stupidly I Googled it. Heart attack came up of course! I called 111. They called an ambulance. I ended up back in A&E.
I had a chest x ray and blood tests. ECG showed I was in NSR.
X ray showed damage but that’s from the ablation and the doctor said it looked good, healing as expected. All the time the sharp pains carried on.
Then my blood tests came back- no heart attack!
Apparently it shows some liver issues. Gall bladder/stones issues. Scan appt coming soon!
So the pain has finally gone but no-one got to the bottom of it other than it’s not a heart attack! Phew!
Anyone else had this perhaps??

Sorry to hear your news, but I had exactly the same thing around last June and thought I was having a heart attack. Have had my gallbladder scanned and it's full of stones, so I'm now waiting to have it removed. Did you eat a lot of greasy food as I did the day it all kicked off?
My body has never liked me eating fat, but friends were talking about the fried breakfast they'd had and it set me off hankering for one. I made a huge one and that's how my pain nightmare started.
Unfortunately, you need to cut out all fatty food right away. Even lean red meat can set mine off. On the plus side I've lost a stone in weight.
Oh JJ!! You’ve cracked it then! Yes I have been over indulging since the first lockdown... lots of chocolate and the night it started I had Black Forest gateaux and cream!
I’d had it a lot since the ablation and of course I’d just been treating myself with chocolate all the time.
Also I’ve had a gastric bypass and apparently it’s common to have the gallbladder removed after.
So it’s died down now so better clean up my act.
Yes, you'll start out being really good, then get away with eating a few treats. You will probably think I've got this under control and don't need to have my gallbladder removed. Then it gets to the stage where it flares up but is ultra sensitive for a while to the tiniest bit of fat, that's where I am now and I've had 7 attacks in the last nine days each in the evening and lasting for around 3 -5 hours. Why do people go and buy you chocolates and goodies when they know you're a greedy person for sweet stuff!!!
After last nights attack, when it actually made me vomit - I can say I never want a repeat of that! Today all I've had to eat today is muesli this morning and a boiled egg and an apple lunch time. Am cooking roast chicken for later as my sister is coming round to me, but it will be relatively fat free. I find that cooking with oils is ok.
My sister will be leaving my house with all my chocolates and goodies tonight.
Hope all will be better in the new year for you. My daughter had her gall bladder taken out a number of years ago after a lot of pain and hasn't looked back since.
Same for me 25 years ago. Wasn’t overweight, and diet was ok, but mine was full of stones too. Was gobsmacked! They said it was probably because I’d had jaundice when I was young. Had nothing done about it and it hasn’t bothered me since. (Touch wood)
And also jeanjeannie50 . My late Mum had her gallbladder removed about 20 years ago (in her early 80s). Prior to the removal, eating was was utterly miserable. And she couldn't eat at all after 4.30 pm. She suffered terrible pain too. She had keyhole surgery and I swear within a couple of weeks she was eating fish and chips and all sorts of goodies that she hadn't been able to eat for years. She had a new lease of life!
