T’was the night before Christmas - and Santa had had a VERY bad day!
The elves had gone on a go slow so some of the REALLY important presents hadn’t been finished.
Dasher went lame so a replacement Reindeer had to be found. Do you know just how difficult it is to find a replacement Reindeer on Christmas Eve and one that can fly to boot? That wasn’t even the worst of it, because after the sleigh was eventually loaded, the reindeer had grumbled about the incomer who had laughed at Rudolph’s red nose and stood on Prancer’s toes, Santa looked down and saw one of the runners had cracked and there was no way it would withstand the long journey ahead.
Now it was getting very late and by now he should have been at the half way point and he was worrying that many children wouldn’t have their stocking filled in time so he stomped back to the log cabin to find a new runner and the tools to fix it when there was a knock at the door. When he opened the door there was beautiful angel standing on the threshold - holding a Christmas tree.
saying ‘Santa, I know you have had a really bad day today, so I brought you a Christmas tree’.
Have a very little Merry Christamas.
