Bisoporol Experience

I've been given various doses of bisop and have been settled on 10mg for some time now. I do feel very tired most days, and am fortunate to be working from home long term. I also struggle quite a bit with name recollection. I have raised my observations with my consultant who has told me that the current benefits outweigh the side effects and the dosage may be reduced in the future. I hope this helps.

A brilliant response from your Consultant and one I will remember when I feel that awful drowsiness coming on, as deep down they know best.

Hello,

Because I felt overwhelmed by the effect of Bisoprolol even on the lowest dose. my consultant suggested I take the dose in the evening instead, so I tried it.

The result is, I don’t feel so thick-headed in the day, and can ‘wind down’ better at night for sleep, and it still works for its intended purpose.

I think it works best taken an hour or 2 before bedtime, but you can experiment.

Yea, I'm on 15mgs Bisoprolol daily but can't say I feel tired and I'm aged 75. I don't think I ever gave it a thought, maybe that's why I feel okay. I split mine, half at night other half in morning, equals 12 hours apart. You can do the same. My Cardiologist recommended that to me years ago and it's always worked fine. Good Luck.

Those who feel good on Bisoprolol tend to be those who are benefiting from Bisoprolol's BP-lowering effect, which for some is a welcome side-effect.

Splitting the dose can be helpful, but regarding splitting a tablet:

A friend who used to work in laboratories has cautioned that the active ingredient of a tablet is not always distributed evenly throughout the tablet so your dosing may be a little uneven if you split tablets, even if the tablets are split evenly.
